Pete was born on a farm in Dublin, OH, a northwest suburb of Columbus. He received All-State honors for three years, including being named Mr. Ohio Player of the Year twice, and was offered over 70 scholarships to play college baseball. Pete decided to stay local and signed with the Buckeyes. Post-high school, he was drafted 9th by the Baltimore Orioles and played for eight years before joining the Phillies for 2 to conclude his career. Throughout his 10-year career, Pete was regarded as a top prospect by MLB.
Following his notable career, Pete channeled his passion for baseball into scouting for the Chicago Cubs, serving as a Hitting and Infield Coordinator for Major League Baseball, and operating academies worldwide. He finds great satisfaction in player development and helping young athletes achieve their goals and dreams.
Pete has had the privilege of coaching and nurturing young talent at all ages specifically the 16/17u level, leading teams that were nationally ranked for 15 years. From these teams, 62 players went on to receive college scholarships, and 11 were drafted in the MLB Draft.
On a personal note, Pete is an avid golfer, enjoys traveling with his wife, and cherishes time spent with his five children.
